The Grandville Drumline awards party is a time when the drumline students, parents and staff come together to celebrate the end of a great marching season, and to honor students for their outstanding performance and dedication.

In 2005, we began a new tradition by giving an award called the "Bronson Spirit Award" in memory of drumline student Nick Bronson, who passed away unexpectedly in 2004. Nick is remembered as a great friend and student, and someone who always had a positive attitude, an upbeat spirit, and was constantly trying to make others smile and laugh. We thought it was important to start recognizing the students who keep that positive spirit alive in the drumline from year to year.
