BAND CAMP
July 27 - August 1, 2009
Band camp is held
at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant this year from Monday,
July 27 through Saturday, August 1. All students in the Grandville High School Marching Band must
attend.
Students have
three practice sessions per day at camp, varying between sectionals,
drill practice, and full band rehearsal. Students rehearse on the field
directly behind Finch Hall, while pit students rehearse on the lawn in
front of Finch Hall, on Franklin Street. On Saturday, the students will
perform at Kelly Shorts Stadium.

Students are
assigned 4 per dorm room, each dorm room having two bedrooms, a
main/study room and a bathroom. Each bedroom includes 2 beds, which can
be bunked, two dressers and a closet, and the main room includes four
desks and chairs.
